It is with great joy that we announce that David Bebbington, Professor of
History, the University of Stirling, was elected this year to be a Fellow of
the Royal Society of Edinburgh. As the national academy of science and
letters, the Royal Society of Edinburgh is the most prestigious learned society
in Scotland. Only 45 people were elected to full fellowship, and
Bebbington was one of only two historians. Congratulations, Professor
Bebbington, FRSE!
