SunTrust Bank Chair of Excellence in the Humanities

There was a glitch in my previous post about the faculty opening at UTC for the SunTrust Bank Chair of Excellence in Humanities. A full description of the position can be found here.

SunTrust Chair of Excellence in the Humanities
The successful candidate will enjoy national distinction with a strong record of teaching, scholarly publication or creative activity, and public service in the humanities appropriate for a tenured appointment at the level of Associate or Full Professor. The Chair is expected to be an active advocate for the humanities with interdisciplinary interests.

This is an endowed chair that also carries its own budget for travel, public programming, secretarial support, and other operating expenses. A two course per semester teaching load is expected.

Screening of applicants will begin March 12, 2014, and will continue until the position is filled. In addition to a curriculum vitae and other supporting documents, applicants should submit a statement of philosophy and vision for this position and provide names and contact information for three referees. All materials must be electronically submitted to facultyvitae34@utc.edu.
